MICHELLE CHOW
I am Michelle, a Performance Psychologist, Triathlon performance Coach, Singapore’s Assistant National Coach to our Triathlon Team and also an active Triathlete. Although I still train hard and stay race ready, there were days where I just could not shake off the fatigue nor the brain haze after training. I then decided to embark on a journey with Joan Liew of Fitness Factory to seek another professional perspective on how to improve on my sports performance, as well as the use of nutrition to enhance it.
In consultation, Joan provided me with a sustainable nutritional plan, weaving in the use of Supplements in a timely manner. I implemented the plan as soon as it was given to me, following it as closely as possible and sensed a change from day one. I was no longer in need of a mid morning refuel of food, nor was I scrambling for a mid afternoon energy fix. In the days that followed, I was astounded at how energized I felt, both mentally and physically despite waking up at 5am in the morning to train. The afternoon energy slump also dissipated and the mental sharpness stayed on. While the nutritional plan helped me with my energy management, it did not disrupt my sleep patterns, in fact it seemed to have improved my overall sleep quality too.
It is very important to me that a nutritional plan is sustainable, effective and that it is helping me with my daily performance goals. Joan’s professional advice has given me the confidence that an athlete needs, to train sustainably and achieve performance goals.
